1. Scope of Application

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in all educational programs, courses, workshops, examinations, and related activities offered by American Board of Aesthetic Medicine and Cosmetic Surgery (ABAMCS) (“ABAMCS”).

Participation in any ABAMCS program constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Educational Nature of Programs

All ABAMCS programs are professional educational and training activities intended exclusively for licensed physicians and dentists.

ABAMCS certification:

  • Is a professional educational credential only
  • Does not confer medical or dental licensure
  • Does not constitute governmental, regulatory, or statutory recognition

Medical licensure, clinical privileges, and scope of practice are governed solely by applicable local laws and regulatory authorities.

3. Eligibility & Participant Responsibility

Participants must:

  • Hold a valid medical or dental license issued by a recognized regulatory authority in their jurisdiction of practice; and
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards in their country or region.

ABAMCS does not verify or guarantee participants’ eligibility to practice aesthetic medicine in any jurisdiction.

4. Use and Representation of Certification

Participants may describe their credential only in an accurate and non-misleading manner, such as:

“Professionally Certified by ABAMCS in Aesthetic Medicine.”

Participants shall not represent ABAMCS certification as:

  • Board certification recognized by any governmental or statutory body
  • Medical licensure or regulatory approval
  • Specialty board equivalency

Any misleading or improper use of ABAMCS certification may result in revocation of certification without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

All course materials, curricula, presentations, examinations, trademarks, logos, and written or digital content are the intellectual property of ABAMCS or its licensors.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

6. Limitation of Liability

ABAMCS is not responsible for:

  • Clinical decisions made by participants outside the educational setting
  • Patient outcomes resulting from participant practice
  • Compliance with local licensing or regulatory requirements

Educational demonstrations and training do not constitute medical advice or clinical supervision.

7. Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless ABAMCS from any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from:

  • Misrepresentation of certification
  • Violation of these Terms & Conditions
  • Non-compliance with applicable laws or professional standards

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction designated by ABAMCS for program delivery, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
